Paradise Springs, Ocala Florida

Today, Saturday May 8th, I and a friend drove to Paradise Springs in Ocala.
We met up with Gerold (Jerry) from Divebuddy. There were a number others who announced
they wanted to go, but didn’t make it. It was nice. I was the first at the site. We signed in
and drove over to get our best spot and began unloading and preparing to be the first to enter the water while the visibility was good. Dave and I went in along with Michael, who drove out and surprised me being there. We scoured around the place finding a number of figurines tucked in glooves or placed on shelves.
I notice on the ceiling what appeared to be ribbon from the formation above. I also noticed that it went around this one hugh piece of rock. I can see the bubbles crawling up either side of this rock, up into and through the ribbon just eating away at the support holding that rock up on the ceiling. I can imagine one day, it falling.
You can also see where divers have been moving the rock to open up passageways. Makes for a different dive every visit. The day started out cloudy, but cleared up and partly cloudy.
Temperature ended up close to 90 degree by 1pm. A very nice day and dive. Thanks to all those that showed up, it made the day more enjoyable.

PADI MSDT - I've been a diver for over 33 years. I became an instructor because I want to be creditable and able to transfer my knowledge and skills to newer divers. Beside, it cuts down on the expense of diving. NOT! My Motto: First in, Last out
