An opportunity to attend a Digital Photographic Specialty course has opened up and this email serves both as an announcement as well as an invitation to attend. Course is being conducted in Jacksonville Florida.

The certification course includes the classroom sessions, 4 hour field study, materials and certification card.
Two dives required to complete the certification (You are required to cover all your expenses for the dives). The date and location of the dives will be announced during the July 17 class. One followup session where we will review the photographs taken below the surface.
Requirements: Camera, Understanding of the functions of the camera (how to navigate to the various features of the camera) for the camera you will be using, The camera Manual. For the dive the camera housing, lighting (ie. strobes). Begin learning the Manual setting and how to operate the camera before the first class session, Course material knowledge Reviews, (Due July 17)
The classroom session will cover the basic of photography. Discussions on aperture, f/stops, ISO, white balance and more will be covered.
The 4 hour field study includes spending time outdoors practicing photographic techniques that may be applied towards underwater photography.
2 dives where you will spend time photographing subjects, changing settings and techniques to acquire the desired effects and photographs.
Finally the followup classroom session to share your photos with the other divers for review.
