If you are involved with or interested in knowing more on whalesharks, this site is a site to bookmark. Whaleshark.org

At this site, you may compare a photograph of a whaleshark to a database and compare to find if anyone else submitted a shot that match. If not, you just submitted a new photo of a whaleshark. You may catalog the location, date, time, and other pertinent information, like water temperature, salinity, specific gravity, depth, etc. Having all this information available will allow us to profile the characteristics of the magestic creatures. To learn their migration patterns, the number of whalesharks on the planet, breeding habits, protection and preservation.

If you are planning on attending a whaleshark tour in August, 2011 Mexico, this will be a tool we will use to see if the whaleshark we take pictures of have ever been submitted to the whaleshark database before.
