PENSACOLA, Fl ( WALA) – The Coast Guard is searching for a missing scuba diver off the coast of Pensacola. FOX10 has been told the search started Saturday afternoon at the artificial reef created by the USS Oriskany. The Oriskany was towed to Pensacola in December 2004 and was sunk with controlled charges in order to make an artificial reef. The Coast Guard is using a HC 144 search and rescue aircraft, a 41 foot small boat with crew, two dive boats and the Escambia County diving team to search for the diver. FOX10 News is monitoring the search and will update you here on fox10tv.com when new information is received
