We spend about 5 hours on the vessel, cleaning, removing stuff, and inspectiing the engine compartment.<\/p>\n<p>Here are some pictures from that day. You can see the amount of work there is and needs to get done. If you or anyone you know would like to get involved with creating an artificial reef, we would love to hear from you. Get a different perspective of what goes on to ready this vessel for her new home.<\/p>\n<p>This picture shows the amount of rust and silt built up. The fluid you see is a mix of brown river water and diesel and mud and other stuff. Gewy.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-2900\" href=\"https:\/\/www.divetalking.com\/?attachment_id=2900\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2900\" title=\"TUFF-E-NUFF Engine room\" src=\"https:\/\/www.divetalking.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/IMG_2688_30.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"465\" height=\"349\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In the third picture, look at the amount of crud. This is about 5 feet off the deck. The tug is stuck on a sandbar. During high tide, water entered the vessel and filled her up to the first deck.
