{"id":12168,"date":"2020-11-26T21:25:31","date_gmt":"2020-11-27T02:25:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.divetalking.com\/?p=12168"},"modified":"2020-11-26T21:25:34","modified_gmt":"2020-11-27T02:25:34","slug":"florida-passes-law-prohibiting-the-import-export-sale-of-shark-fins","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.divetalking.com\/?p=12168","title":{"rendered":"Florida Passes Law  Prohibiting the import, export, &#038; sale of shark fins"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-the-bills\">The Bills<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Oct, 2019 <a href=\"https:\/\/flsenate.gov\/Session\/Bill\/2020\/401\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">CS\/HB 401<\/a> was formally submitted by the Florida State Affairs Committee and Kristin Diane Jacobs, Florida House Representative and cosponsors Buchanan; Casello; Daley; Duran; Goff-Marcil; Gottlieb; Grall; Killebrew; LaMarca; Massullo; Mercado; Overdorf; Polo; Pritchett; Roth; Smith, C.; Stark; Stevenson; Watson, C.; Webb; Willhite along with companion <a href=\"https:\/\/flsenate.gov\/Session\/Bill\/2020\/680\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">bill 680 <\/a>by Rules and Commerce and Tourism and Environment and Natural Resources and Hutson (CO-SPONSORS) Gruters; Stewart; Berman; Book was recently passed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWhat happens to sharks happens and affects Florida,\u201d Jacobs said.<a href=\"https:\/\/floridapolitics.com\/archives\/313322-jacobs-bill-shark-fins\"><\/a> \u201cIt affects our coral reefs and so many other species that rely on a healthy ocean in order to survive.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The law is not perfect for it allows some exclusions.
