I do not subscribe to listing the lowest price just to lure you in, then add on this and that during the course of the tour. I put together the package and for that package, the cost. I believe being as transparent as possible, minimizes surprises. An informed traveler is a more satisfied traveler. Will there be additional costs while in the Philippines? Short answer, Yes. The tour cannot cover every cost yet I can say that those additional costs should be minimal. Inclusion and exclusion are listed near the end of this outline. With that being said, please continue reading…

Your WOW tour begins from Harolds Hotel in Cebu City, about 45-60 minutes by taxi from the airport (CEB). We will meet in the Harolds Hotel lobby at 8AM Saturday morning May 25 where we will meet each other, enjoy some breakfast, do introductions, fill out any needed forms and turn over any documents before checking out. The group will depart from Harolds Hotel at 10AM May 25 to head towards Moalboal We should arrive mid-afternoon.

VISA
For most nationalities the tourist visa is valid for 30 days (29 nights) and will be issued upon entry into the country, usually at the airport. If you stay longer you can apply for a visa in your home country before traveling to the Philippines. Please check with the Philippine embassy in your country for details if a visa is required or not.

MONEY (Currency Rates/Exchange)
Please be aware that it is not possible to change money in some of our destinations. To get some cash in Philippine Pisos it is recommended you exchange some currency directly at the airport (before leaving the building). However, dive center bills can be paid in PHP, USD, EUR, CHF, AUD, or YEN. When accepted, all credit card payments will be converted into USD. When carrying US currency (highly recommended) make sure the bills are CRISP and CLEAN. No tears, folds, writing, marks of any kind or any other condition depicting non-new/crisp state. Make sure you carry more than enough for terminal/airport fees, visa, incidentals, meals, side trips, tips, souvenirs, rental equipment, dives, unforeseen circumstances, etc..

Flights
Here is a site to look for flights, Google Flights. When booking your flight, use the exact name written on your passport. Don’t forget to get your mileage benefit with the airlines if applicable. Should you have any questions about flights, please reach out before purchasing.

GETTING THERE
You may schedule your flight into and out of Manila (MNL) or into and out of Cebu City, (CEB). Into and out of CEBU is definitely more convenient if heading from and directly back to the States. If flying into Manila, you may arrange for a regional flight to Cebu City (CEB) from Manila. I use Philippine Airlines, (PAL) from Manila. PAL has almost hourly round trip between Manila (MNL) and Cebu City, (CEB). You may of course make any arrangements to get to Cebu City (CEB), CEBU Philippines.. Please arrange your flight to arrive no later than May 24, 2019. You may of course arrive earlier than Friday May 24, 2019. You will need to spend at least one night in the Philippines, preferably in Cebu before we embark on our journey May 25, 2019.

Arriving Early

Your plans should have you arriving prior to the start of the WOW Tour. Recommended Hotels in Manila are The Heritage Hotel ($$) and The Midas Hotel ($$$) and the The Henry Hotel ($$). The three hotels are nice, clean and comfortable. In Cebu City there is the Harolds Hotel, downtown. Transportation from the airport to the Hotel is also available usually through the hotel which you are staying yet there are taxi’s at the airport. Official taxis are either white or yellow. If staying in Manila, there is largest mall in the world Mall of ASIA is not far from the airport. Usually the hotels provide a courtesy shuttle.

If staying in Cebu, I would recommend staying at Harolds Hotel and eating at RICOS…

Manila Airport: (MNL) Terminals 1, 2, 3 and 4 + Where To Stay Overnight

Manila Airport, otherwise known as NAIA airport code MNL

This guide instills local knowledge and added research into one easy to read page, so that you can prepare well, and travel through without a hitch.

Quick Section Navigation

1 About NAIA and the Terminals

2 NAIA Terminal 1

3 NAIA Terminal 2

4 NAIA Terminal 3

5 NAIA Terminal 4

6 How To Transfer Between Terminals

7 Taxis & How To Avoid Getting Scammed

8 How To Catch Uber and Grab Rides

9 Where To Stay Overnight

10 Conclusion & Summary

NAIA has four terminals, Terminals 1-4.
