HIGH-PRESSURE SCUBA DIVING AIR HOSES DETAILS: High-pressure scuba diving air hoses manufactured in Taiwan and imported by A-Plus Marine Supply Inc. of Gulf Breeze, Fla. The hoses were sold at scuba diving retailers nationwide from April 2012 through June 2012 for about $34. They have a black, smooth rubber outer covering and are about 32 to 36 inches long. WHY: The hose, which connects the regulator to the tank’s pressure gauge, can separate, reducing the available air supply to the diver and posing a drowning hazard. Narcosis Found

On November, 18 2012 I receive a notice that Narcosis has been found. [singlepic id=818 w=320 h=240 float=center] Narcosis is a one foot female great white which lives in the Ginnie Cavern. She was introduced to Ginnie Springs in October, 2012 after her sister, Deco went missing. Narcosis is shy and will not bite. She hides in various locations within the Ginnie Spring. On this November day,  while diving the spring, John Kenney discovered Narcosis’ hiding place. Taking a picture to prove he has found her, the picture above as well as a video clip, which the discovery may be found a little over 4 minutes into the video. Argentines plan to shoot gulls to save the whales

BUENOS AIRES, Argentina (AP) — What began as bizarre bird behavior has turned into something out of a horror film for threatened whales in Argentina, where seagulls have learned that pecking at the whales’ backs can get them a regular seafood dinner. Seagull attacks on southern right whales have become so common now that authorities are planning to shoot the gulls in hopes of reducing their population. Environmentalists say the plan is misguided and that humans are the real problem, creating so much garbage that the gull population has exploded. Both sides agree that the gull attacks in one of the whales’ prime birthing grounds is not only threatening the marine mammals, but the region’s tourism industry as well, by turning whale-watching from a magical experience into something sad and gruesome. Aditech unveils MVH-FS100 housing for the Sony NEX-F100 camcorder
